Craigville Beach Inn

The convenient beach location was about the only positive. The rooms felt very average and were dirty. What really shaped my review, though, was how management handled my stolen phone. I was there with family, and the theft happened while the inn’s manager was out of town. I waited two days to review the video footage and figure out who took it. I had screenshots from the Find My IPhone app showing my phone at a nearby home I’d never visited, so it was clearly stolen. Staff didn’t believe me and were extremely rude to my family and me. Lauren, the manager, insisted phones don’t even get stolen anymore. I also saw her receive a message saying, “I’m sorry you came back to such a shit show. I bet the phone wasn’t even stolen”. That felt unprofessional and rude. Why would I invent a theft and put myself through repeated dealings with rude staff and the police? Lauren reluctantly provided the security footage to police, but made it obvious she still didn’t believe me. I wouldn’t recommend this inn, especially to a person of color.

We’ve been coming here for years, and I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean, the price is the best value around, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. You can walk to the beach or drive a short way to Hyannis. The pool is excellent, with a good temperature, plus towels, bathrooms, and toys available. Breakfast is continental, with a wide selection of fruit, cereals, granola bars, and yogurt, along with coffee, tea, and water. The grounds are pretty and tidy, with hanging and potted plants. Four Seas, a classic Cape ice cream stand, is right across the street.

For an authentic Cape Cod feel, this place is an easy recommendation. It’s extremely clean and well run, and the beach is a short walk away. Four Seas is even closer.

The hosts were so helpful, even mailing back something we left in the room. We’d happily stay again. The room was clean and comfortable, with an outdoor spot for coffee in the morning or wine later in the day. The Inn was perfect for our lovely Cape Cod visit, close to beaches and nice restaurants. And the best ice cream ever is right across the street!
