La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chambersburg

The manager really made the stay. She was warm, helpful, professional, and easy to talk to. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good too. I’d happily come back.

The front desk staff were courteous and professional at both check-in and checkout, and the manager handled guests in a welcoming, efficient way. That part of the stay was pleasant. Breakfast was a different story. At 8:05 a.m., items weren’t being replenished promptly, and the kitchen service seemed poorly managed. Staff also often spoke another language in front of guests, which felt unprofessional and made communication difficult. I’ve stayed at many Wyndham Hotels & Resorts properties. I’ve reported my concerns about staff conduct to the appropriate authorities, ICE, because the discussion I heard was about her staying undocumented.

There’s plenty of green space to walk the dogs, and the property was beautiful and clean. The Front Office staff were friendly and welcoming, with lots of shops and restaurants close by. I felt safe traveling alone, and La Quinta has always been my first choice when I travel with my dogs. We’d stay here again.

For a stop on our long drive home from the South, this was a great choice. I booked through Expedia, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. They called to confirm my late arrival, and the front desk clerk greeted me warmly when I got there. The shared areas were immaculate.
