Unique Suites Hotel

This place is a joke, and would deserve a rating below one if that were possible. The hotel is run down, with mold in the room and broken furniture. Breakfast was a mess. On the first day there was only a small amount of food, and nobody was around to replenish it or monitor the area. Non-guests took most of it, left a mess, trashed the kitchen, and broke liquor bottles on the floor. The next morning there was no food at all because no one was at the front desk to open up for breakfast. The desk person didn’t arrive until after 9:00 a.m.

The reception girls were great, but breakfast was a letdown. I was looking forward to scrambled eggs and sausage, and they were cold and inedible because the warmer seemed broken or hadn’t been switched on. At check-in my first room hadn’t been cleaned or readied, so I was given another one. That room was fine otherwise, though water from the toilet was leaking onto the floor.

There are two restaurants, so you can choose what you’re in the mood for: Indian food at mint or American food at the brickhouse. Both were delicious, and having food on site is a big bonus compared with most hotels. The staff were really nice and respectful, the room was spotless, and the bed was perfect. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a while.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the location was great. But the refrigerator hadn’t been plugged back in, and the door over it was broken. I also had trouble getting anyone to answer at the front desk. All in all, the room was comfortable and clean.
