Kate is the kindest staff member, and Dan is great to talk with. The whole team goes out of their way to help. My family and I have been here for over a month, and we love it. The staff are friendly, breakfast is yummy, and the place is very pet friendly and family oriented. The rooms are decent. Wi-Fi drops out sometimes, though that isn't the hotel's fault. We'd recommend staying here every time!

The room was clean and roomy, with a fireplace, desk, and comfortable chair. Breakfast was a decent hot continental spread, and coffee and hot chocolate were available all day. The pool and hot tub were spacious, clean enough, and at a good temperature, but the hot tub bubbles weren't working. The bed and pillows were softer than we like. Good location and fair price, though there's no elevator.

The bed felt too soft at first since I prefer a firm one, but I slept better than I have in ages, like being tucked into a nest. We would absolutely come back. The place is clean, comfortable, and friendly, and the pool and hot tub were nice, though the deck is rough underfoot. Breakfast was okay, a little above the bare minimum, and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available all day. For the price, it was excellent. The rooms could use electrical upgrades, with more outlets and USB chargers. They feel like they were built before computers and wireless phones.

Jason was so kind and accommodating. I loved my stay at the AmericanInn Charlevoix. This was my second visit, and I have no complaints!

During a terrible snowstorm, lots of people ended up staying here because they couldn't keep traveling. The staff were checking that everyone had what they needed in the lobby. They helped me and others arrange another night, shared food options, and helped people sort that out too. I felt they did far more than expected. Hope the Beaver Island and St. Ignace folks all made it home safely.
