Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood

I had to cut short a work trip here after waking up to roaches in my room. I was traveling with my director, and management blamed the rain the night before when we reported it. There were no other rooms available. Months later, Marriott still hasn’t followed through on what they promised, whether returning my points, compensating me, or even replying to emails. I keep getting the runaround. This hotel seems to have a bug problem, and Marriott clearly doesn’t care about its guests. I’d look elsewhere in Charlotte.

The manager was kind and the staff friendly, but the stay was completely unacceptable. I waited two hours for a room, then checked out as soon as I got in. It was filthy, not just overdue for an upgrade. It clearly isn’t corporate owned. This is why I dislike private properties, they pinch pennies on the budget. Absolutely disgusting.

I was in around 9pm and left at 4:30am for an early flight from Charlotte airport, since I live in greensboro. The place did what I needed, but walking in, I thought it was a motel. The sheets had hair on them, the rooms weren’t clean, and the tub was tiny with a dirty white shower curtain. I missed breakfast, though the lemon water in the lobby was a nice touch.

The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was good with plenty to eat. The staff were kind, worked hard, and were happy to accommodate us. We were very pleased with our stay.
