The front desk staff and weekend breakfast crew were the best parts of my stay, and the location was good enough that I’d consider returning. Anthony, the manager, welcomed me warmly and explained the hotel and its amenities. The whole desk team had that same sincere, gracious manner. Weekday breakfast was a different story. I’d say good morning and get a “hey,” a grunt, or no answer. One staff member corrected me for opening the clear bread cabinet by hand, saying, “don't reach in there, that's what the tongues are for.” It felt belittling and embarrassing, as if she meant it that way. She seemed more like a watchdog than someone caring for guests, scrolling on her phone while monitoring the breakfast area. Another employee changed the TV from SportsCenter to her show and left it there. The oatmeal looked stringy when I lifted a spoonful, so I stopped eating it, and I got sick later. Housekeeping is another story, though with a good front desk, things get sorted out in the end.

Tracey’s buffet and attentive service in the dining area were delicious and top notch. The highlight of our trip, though, was what Rashad and Angel did for our friend’s 60th birthday. We live out of town and wanted her room decorated before we arrived. Rashad said it wasn’t normally a service they offered, but he’d make it happen. I dropped off the decorations two weeks ahead, and Angel kindly volunteered to set everything up. Our friend cried when she saw how beautifully the room was decorated. Rashad had already helped resolve a reservation mixup right away over the phone, and his professionalism, knowledge, and courtesy gave me confidence he’d follow through. At the hotel, I saw vendors and guests frequently seeking him out, and his work with them made me think he was a manager. He and Angel made our stay feel grand. I’m so grateful they helped make the celebration outstanding. We stayed November 15-16, 2025, in Charlotte for the birthday weekend. I was there with friends, and it meant a lot to make the occasion special.

The location is a real plus, with everything nearby, and I feel safe walking or running around. The rooms are always clean, the bedding spotless, and the pool is well kept. The front desk team and the rest of the staff are superstars, always smiling, helpful, and a joy to see. This is one of my favorite Hiltons, maybe the only one I absolutely love staying at. Keep it up, please.

The restaurant experience left us upset. At check-in, the desk clerk said dinner orders had to be in by 9:30, so we sat down before then. It took 5-10 minutes to get a menu. When the server started taking our order, she stopped and said she’d forgotten that the kitchen had closed early because the cook was alone. That can happen, but two tables and someone at the bar who arrived after us still ordered and got food. I don’t know why we were left out, and it didn’t feel fair, especially while food continued to be served. Our room was fine and had plenty of space for four. The every-other-day cleaning policy also didn’t work well for us. Rooms should at least be checked daily for trash, toilet paper, towels, and washcloths, even if beds aren’t made and rooms aren’t cleaned.
