The photos online don’t show how tiny the rooms are, and that was the worst part overall. The first room had a kitchen sink faucet that wasn’t installed right and was falling apart, plus a bathroom door that wasn’t even on its hinges. In the second room, the sink wasn’t attached underneath and leaked onto a lot of our food. The air conditioner was ancient and barely worked. There’s no communication between management and maintenance, and calling the maintenance polite is being generous. They don’t provide toilet paper or change the linens weekly, and every room gets charged $15 for Wi-Fi that very rarely works. All together, this is the worst place I’ve stayed in my life. My home is in tiny Old Fort, NC, and even our little hotel is ten times better.

Monica was attentive and pleasant, and I felt relaxed throughout my stay. From the first greeting, everyone was warm. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had plenty of staff. It met what I expected, and I had a really good experience. Thanks to all of you for what you do.
I checked out on August 2 after staying from July 28, 2025 because the physical exhaustion and mental strain had become too much. I had paid $1,164.92 for July 28-Aug 15, 2025, and I’m asking for a refund for the nights I didn’t stay, plus the $50 I was promised at check-in. Monica, the General Manager, refused, was combative more than once, hung up on me once, and kept directing me to customer service by email. I wrote on August 2nd, 6th, and 21st 2025, September 6th 2025, December 7th 2025, and January 12th 2026. Each time I got an automatic reply saying service could take up to 3 business days or longer, but I never received a response. I hope this reaches the right person. I don’t understand the refusal, and I’d rather not take further action, but it’s too much money to walk away from after what I went through. A legal matter is my last resort. The room was 329, and Monica said it was the only one available, so I had no choice but to stay. I had to clean the bathroom myself. The AC made a loud booming sound every time it switched on or off, day and night, and woke me several times. I got no sleep on the few nights I stayed. When Monica came with maintenance, he said the AC needed replacing, but it never was. The water was shut off twice during my short stay, so I couldn’t shower or cook those nights. I was promised the Wi-Fi password within an hour of check-in, but it didn’t arrive until 2:07pm the next afternoon. I had homework to finish, and the delay made that harder. I asked daily for clean towels and washcloths, but none came, so I bought my own. There were spiders and dead bugs all over the suite. Because of my rental history, this was my only way to start a new job in Charlotte. I was due to begin that Monday, but after one terrible night after another, I had to leave the job and Charlotte and return to the apartment I’d left in Atlanta, where it’s unsafe. I’m writing about the terrible stay at In Town Suites from July 28, 2025 to August 2, 2025. I checked out the evening of August 2.
For comfort and cleanliness, make sure to get a premium upgrade room at In Town Suites. The updated rooms are beautiful and can comfortably fit a family of two, maybe three at most. Be sure to clean your room thoroughly. It’s a pet-friendly hotel, and pet hair gets caught in the carpet and chairs, which are hard to clean. Ask the staff to remove that furniture before you rent.
It’s a reasonably priced hotel, and the staff take concerns and questions seriously and are very helpful. The place is clean and quiet for the most part, with restaurants and shops nearby. I especially appreciate having stovetops for a bit of cooking. I’d recommend it.
