Rayquan, the front desk gentleman, welcomed me when I arrived for a business visit nearby. I'm not sure I spelled his name right. He was pleasant and professional, got me checked in, and explained parking, my room location, and breakfast. The room was clean and didn't have that wet, mildewy smell some hotels do. I liked the bedroom and bathroom, but the kitchen and living room lighting was very dim. The outlets by the couch and desk didn't work, so neither did the table lamps. I couldn't charge my phone while sitting on the couch, and had to use the only working outlet in that area, by the dinette table. I didn't tell the front desk about the outlets or lights. I stayed Tuesday through Friday. Breakfast was free, with turkey and pork sausage on my first morning, which I appreciated since I can't eat pork and most hotels don't offer an alternative. There were also bagels, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee. I don't know if meat is served every day, because one morning there was no meat or eggs when I went down. Parking was confusing, with two levels and no clear direction about which garage to use. Still, I enjoyed the stay and would return if I visit Charlotte. It was convenient to the mall and nearby places to eat, and the staff were pleasant.

We only stayed one night and wished we could've stayed longer. The room was comfortable, clean, and amazing, and the check-in staff were polite and helpful. There were lots of amenities we didn't get a chance to use. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. Great hotel, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The place was quiet, safe, and cozy, and the front desk attendant was amazing. I was staying there while repairs were being done in my apartment. My only reason for giving it three stars was housekeeping. Even after I reported that my room was being skipped, it kept happening, so I had to keep asking for towels and sheets. Otherwise, it could be an amazing place to stay.

I was there Dec 31-Jan 2 in a king studio. The spot felt safe and made getting to South Park mall and the restaurants easy, just four minutes away. The rate seemed a bit steep, probably because it was a holiday. Breakfast was a decent, standard hotel spread. Parking was $10 a day and the pet charge was $100, non-refundable. I did find one little roach in the shower and killed it, but didn't see another. Aside from that, the room was very clean. Pet owners are generally put on the same floor. I'd stay here again.

The problems started at check-in: we couldn't get into our assigned room, waited for another, and were sent to the wrong floor. Service stayed frustrating after that. Housekeeping now comes only every two days, so we ran out of towels, and the dishwasher didn't work. The desk staff wouldn't issue a replacement key even though I showed ID and my surname matched my wife's. They were no help sorting it out. I wouldn't return to this location, and this experience makes me much less likely to stay at any Marriott Bonvoy hotel.
