For a moderately priced hotel near UVA athletic events, it was a good deal, especially if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room. The room was clean, with a very comfortable bed, a great shower, and excellent towels. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and hair dryer, plus a super ice machine. Breakfast was basic, the large-screen TV was good but had limited cable, and there was a decent small gym.

I can’t recommend this hotel right now. My one-night stay on June 7th, 2025 was uneventful, and I checked out without any trouble, though the person checking guests in seemed anxious and unsure what she was doing. Then, about five months later, I saw an unexpected charge dated November 8th, 2025. I live out of state and was working back-to-back 12-hour hospital shifts that day, so it was impossible for me to have made or used a reservation. I contacted the hotel right away to find out what happened. I was left on hold for about 20 minutes, then disconnected without speaking to anyone. When I called back, nobody answered. I’m very concerned about how my payment information was used after my stay. This deserves attention and a thorough review of billing and procedures so guests can feel safe and protected. I hope management addresses it so others don’t have the same concern.

There was no running water in the bathroom when I woke up, so I couldn’t shower, brush my teeth, or flush the toilet. The room phone was broken too. Worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. Look elsewhere.

It was a decent budget hotel, but during big leafer season the rate jumped to $325 a night, triple the usual price. That’s way too much for what’s normally a $125 room. Still, the other places in town charging $450 or more were worse. 😺

The check-in person was kind and professional, and the hotel was safe and clean. But it was extremely loud, with paper-thin walls. We could hear the neighbors’ toilet flush, conversations from the halls, and road sirens even though the hotel is set back. We paid $360 for one night during an event and slept terribly. That felt like price gouging.
