Chatham House

The pool was shut down during our stay, which was the hottest week of the year, and we wouldn't have booked here if we'd known it wouldn't be working. It was advertised on the website. The manager said he couldn't get the pH in balance, and that was unacceptable. When we asked him about it, he responded rudely and was very inconsiderate, not customer-friendly. We stayed all week, but I can't recommend it. There are lots of other choices in Chatham, so don't waste your money here. Find somewhere nicer with better management.

We arrived to find the pool closed, even though they’d known it would be out of service before the busy 4th of July weekend. Nobody contacted us ahead of time, and the four kids were crushed. After I complained, they wouldn’t let our family of eight stay, even though it was check-in day. I won’t spend time or money at this poorly run motel again. Go at your own risk.

The calm, quiet atmosphere made it easy to relax with my wife and baby, and the hotel has everything we needed. It’s right by Harding Beach, with restaurants and Dunkin’ Donuts nearby. I’ve stayed twice and had a great experience both times. When I’m in Chatham, this is where I stay.

We booked the two-queen premium room, and it was huge, bright, and really comfortable. It had a microwave, mini fridge, leather club chairs, a seating area, and a flat-screen TV. With the weather so nice, we kept all five windows open. The bedding was nice too, though I’d replace the curtains if I were trying to make the room feel posh. The staff were pleasant, the place had plenty of charm, and the beds were more comfortable than the ones at the Marriott in Providence, where we stayed later in the trip. I hadn’t expected much because it cost so much less than other hotels nearby, but Chatham Motel beat my expectations. We loved our stay and would come back any time we’re on the Cape. It’s close to everything.
