After a three-hour drive to a concert, my car broke down and I missed the show. I was lucky it happened right across from this motel. The people there were kind, understood how frustrating the day had been, and tried to help. The room was clean and the price was fair. A good motel with good people, and a bright spot at the end of a rough day.

The room was clean, the grounds were cared for, and the people were nice. There have been some good updates to the rooms, and they’ve created a lovely setting. But the bed was rock hard, and the walls are paper thin. If noise bothers you and you can’t wear earplugs, this may not be a good fit. Soundproofing may be out of the owners’ hands, but better mattresses would help. The in-room coffee setup needs work too. The coffee provided doesn’t suit the maker, and it tastes horrible. They’d be better off leaving it out than doing it this way.

There was dust all over, the mattress was thin and uncomfortable, and we could hear the person upstairs very loudly from our ground-floor room. The bathroom looked fairly clean, but the room had a terrible old, musty smell. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I usually run into dirty rooms and big problems at places around here, so this one was a relief. I’ve stayed in two different rooms while passing through, and both were clean. The beds have been comfortable so far, not beat up or lumpy. Hot water’s great too, no waiting around for lukewarm water. The woman in the office is cheerful and friendly, which is a nice welcome. The view is good and it’s quiet, with several restaurants down the road. I recommend Whitestone Restaurant for breakfast or dinner. They have steak dinners, buffets, and made-to-order options, plus a bar. The staff and owners there are very nice and work at the restaurant. There’s also a Dairy Queen nearby for ice cream afterward. Not too shabby for the price. Photos show the king bed Loft and a two-bed room.

The owner was pleasant and helpful, and the rooms come with a refrigerator and microwave. There’s also an outdoor patio and a barbecue grill guests can use. It was clean, and we’ll definitely return. Highly recommend.
