I only stopped to get some sleep, and the good reviews had me expecting an okay place. That was not my experience. The walls were beyond nasty, and there were dried boogers on the bathroom wall. The bathroom door looked like it hadn’t had a proper wipe-down since the place was built. Even the white towels were dingy and more brown than white. I travel a lot, and this was by far the nastiest place I’ve stayed. It only got one star because the site wouldn’t let me post without giving it one.

I’ve stayed here twice, nine months apart, while moving across the country. It works for a night, and the staff is super friendly. For $80, the rooms are about what you’d expect. The outside is well lit, there are security cameras, and a row of what I assume were well-armed truck drivers made the place feel relatively safe. The beds suck, but the AC works. No coffee. Dogs are welcome, cats aren’t.

I’ll definitely stay here again. The room had a fridge, microwave, and plenty of outlets for chargers, plus a huge shower with fantastic water pressure. It was spacious and incredibly clean. Quite literally one of the best roadside hotels I’ve stayed in!

I picked Walnut Inn at random when I needed to stop for the night and sleep. The room was really nice and clean, and everything looked new. The people were very nice, and it stayed quiet, with no one coming and going at all hours. I’d definitely recommend Walnut Inn.

There was no hot water, and nobody was at the motel. They still charged the full rate and aren’t going to do a damn thing about it.
