That wraparound balcony gives you access to the rooms, which made unloading our truck really easy. We checked in at 10:30 PM after a full day of driving and mainly needed sleep and a shower. The room had charm and was very comfortable, with an old clawfoot tub that made the shower setup unusual. There’s a gas station across the street for late-night snacks. Nothing fancy, but for the price I’d definitely recommend it.

I only stopped to ask for directions, so I didn’t stay overnight. The front staff were nice, and from what I could see the place looked clean. There aren’t many places to stay in such a small town, so if you need somewhere to sleep while traveling, I’d suggest it.

The bathroom was tiny and nothing like the website photos, and the shower tile could use a bleach scrub to clear off the light mold. Our room faced outside on the side of the building, right by a gas station, and the lodge sits close to a busy highway. I didn’t feel secure with the cheap door lock, so I blocked the door with wooden chairs. At night, light came through a hole at the bottom of the door, which looked like an opening for bugs. The window shade was missing panels, and when the curtain was closed it covered the AC unit. TV wires hung from the wall to a power strip. This was the worst-looking hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, nothing like the pictures.

At least the bed was comfortable, and having a fridge came in handy for breakfast. The room and bathroom floors were old and clearly due for replacement. I couldn't tell if the linoleum was just aged or dirty too, but it looked bad. There was shower gel, pump soap, and hand sanitizer, each with just a tiny bit left, maybe from a previous guest. The hotel had also left the usual small shampoo, conditioner, and lotion tubes. I tried ringing the front desk for help but gave up after several minutes with no answer. The lobby coffee was only lukewarm, and nothing came out of the hot water spigot, so tea wasn’t an option.
