Eagle Crater Lake Inn

We called the day before to ask about rates and arrange a room for two employees, expecting to book on an ongoing basis. Since we're a small business without the resources of a large corporation, most employees don't have business credit cards. My employer sent me with cash for the first week and enough for a deposit. When I arrived at 8:30, the front desk door was locked even though the posted hours said it opened at 6:30am. The manager told me they don't take cash. I called my employer so the company could pay by card over the phone, and mentioned that I wished we'd been told about the cash policy when arranging the room. The manager immediately said he didn't like my attitude and wouldn't do business with us. We can afford to stay somewhere else, but that was horrible service. We called ahead, arrived ready to pay for a week and a deposit, and were turned away after asking why the policy hadn't been mentioned before we traveled to Chemult. The lobby was unavailable during business hours, cash wasn't accepted, and the manager was rude when I asked. If you're a business, do business elsewhere.

The staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the whole place had a peaceful feel. A lovely spot to unwind and enjoy the area's beauty. Highly recommend Eagle Crater Lake Inn.

The cabin was nice, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. They knew we were going to see Crater Lake and had plenty of up-to-date information for us. The tap water was very hard and bubbly, though. The internet wasn't great from the cabin, but for a mountain cabin it was pretty decent.

The family who own the place are just the sweetest people. The rooms are really cute and clean, the best stay I’ve had here in Chemult!
