The smell is the one big problem. The whole place reeks of an ashtray, and I’ll be washing the clothes I brought but never wore. I hate leaving a bad review for a small business, but it’s nasty. Otherwise, it’s not bad for a very budget-conscious motel: the mattress felt fairly new and was comfortable, and I appreciated the fresh coffee even though breakfast was pretty meager. It seems like the new owner and ongoing renovations mentioned in earlier reviews are what’s happening here.

Those sheets were unbelievably soft, the best I’ve had at any hotel. The rooms are clean, and the renovations look great. The owner is an angel who really goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay. It felt like home, and I’d absolutely recommend it. Thank you!

The room was spotless, which mattered most to me, and the bed was really comfortable too. Everyone at the front desk was kind and helpful. It’s a quiet spot, and I’d gladly stay again.

The staff got into my business so much, and the customer service was the worst I’ve encountered in all my years staying at hotels. This place is a disgrace and a waste of your hard-earned money. I wouldn’t even give it one star if I didn’t have to. Save yourself the headache and drive 15 min to Owosso instead.

The new wood walls look really good and give the place some character. They’re adding a laundry room in a couple days, which should be nice.
