OYO Hotel Cheyenne Wells - US 40

At 11 pm, already exhausted, we had to drive another two hours to find somewhere to stay. We'd booked this place for one night during a road trip, but when we arrived, a disheveled man rudely told us they didn't have Booking.com and had no rooms. How could they not know their “hotel” was listed there? I use the word hotel loosely. The lobby smelled awful, and it sounded like a whole family was living in the back. That by itself wouldn't have bothered me, but the way we were treated was so rude. We still haven't received a refund for a room we never got to use. Don't book here if you value your time and money.

I paid in advance for four nights and was turned away when I arrived. The hotel told me it had no contract with Oyohotels, which I believe is fraudulently selling rooms at the Cheyenne Wells, Colorado hotel. They have refused to refund the money for a stay I paid for but never received. I'll be following up with local police and my local congressman. Fraud alert, Oyohotels is taking money from hard-working Americans and refusing service and refunds.

Chris made sure we felt comfortable and safe, and even offered to cook breakfast for us. It was delicious, though cooking breakfast isn't a standard amenity. The room was just right, and the beds were so comfortable that I slept for nine hours and had the sweetest dreams. The place felt like home from the moment I walked into the cozy, quaint lodging. It brought back memories of hot cocoa by the fire. This is one of the best places I've stayed, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone needing a place to rest.

We were glad to find the room spacious, clean, and comfortable after winter weather caught my daughter and me while we were traveling through Southeast Colorado in the second week of January. We stopped at this hotel in Cheyenne Wells to wait out the weather before continuing to our destination. This is a small, family owned business, and they went beyond what we expected after I realized I'd left some personal belongings behind. I called, and they mailed everything back to our home. You'd never expect to see those things again at a big corporate chain hotel.
