AC Hotels by Marriott Chicago Downtown

The breakfast buffet could use more choices. It was eggs, sausage, and bacon, but everything else about our stay was amazing. The rooms were spacious, the pool was a comfortable temperature, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout. We came to the AC Hotel for a staycation so our kids could wait for Santa and get their Christmas presents. The team helped make that magic happen. Special thanks to Emily and Domonique for going the extra mile.

We had a king room downtown for a great price, and the location was convenient. Service was quick and everything worked as it should. The noise from next door carried through, though that seemed fairly normal. The bed linens needed attention: our flat sheet had dirty marks, and there was human hair on the comforter. I called the front desk, and they sorted it out within 10 minutes.

We’d happily come back. It’s an easy walk to Harry Potter, the big Starbucks, and the water tower, and indoor parking was convenient. We could use the same ticket to come and go throughout our stay. The hotel was family friendly, with clean rooms and great staff. The 24-hour gym, indoor pool, breakfast, and lounge were all good to have.

My sister’s room was in good shape, so the rooms seem to vary. The one I got had flooring that was coming apart, with dirt and debris in the cracks, plus a large hole in the wall with insulation showing. The bed was comfortable, though, and the bathroom was very nice. The location is great, the attached garage was handy, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional.
