I've stayed seven nights here over the past three years, and each time has been great. It's my first choice when I have an early workday and don't want a morning commute. Rates are usually among the best around, it suits my location needs, and the Best Western rewards program earns a good number of points per dollar. I've booked the 1 King Bed five times, the 2 Double Beds once, and the Suite-2 Double Beds once. The rooms have always been clean and well stocked. It's an older hotel, but the furniture looks fairly new and the older parts of the rooms are well kept. I don't need fancy amenities I won't use for a night before work, and this place has the essentials. The front desk staff and general manager have always been nice and helpful when I've stayed or needed something. I'm looking forward to coming back in a couple of days.

The location and price made this a good fit for my solo trip. I could walk to the Riverwalk, Navy Pier, and Millennium Park, and there were plenty of restaurants just 5-10 minutes away. The staff were really friendly, and the compact room worked well for one person. I enjoyed my stay and think the hotel deserves a better average rating. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. A few things brought it down: there’s just one slow elevator, and the lobby and room could use some cosmetic attention. The bed was too soft for me, and the AC was loud enough to wake me, as other reviewers have mentioned. Parking costs a lot. I didn’t bring a car, and I’d suggest skipping one in Chicago anyway. The L is a good transit system, and driving or parking downtown would probably be a pain.

The only part of this trip I’m glad about is that it’s over. My daughter hated staying here for her sweet 16, and I wouldn’t recommend this place even to a family struggling to make ends meet. The pool was okay, though neither the look nor the temperature was impressive. The view from the skydeck by the pool was the one thing I liked. Our TV didn’t work, so we went the whole weekend without one, even though the room was supposed to have working amenities. Staff were barely around, and there was no turn-down service. I was told by phone there wouldn’t be a deposit, then found a fee added to my bill at check-in. The room was much smaller than the photos suggested, especially for $150 a night. The elevators barely fit three people comfortably and took ages to arrive. Parking is first come, first served, but they charged my card by the night for the whole stay. Even if their lot had no space, they kept the money, which felt like a ripoff. I’m more careful now and won’t come back.

Jordan made us feel like a friend was looking after us, and the pool was warm. We were the only ones swimming. The location was fantastic, right in the middle of everything, and the walk from the hotel to our show at the House of Blues was easy. It was an amazing stay. We’ll be back!

I liked the comfortable bed, the rooftop city view, and having stores and restaurants all around. They held my Amazon package and let me check out at noon, which was kind of them. For the price, it was decent, though how comfortable you’ll find it depends on your standards. The room didn’t look like the website photos, so I wasn’t impressed at first. The employees were nice, but for anything room-related I had to go to the front desk myself. I’m not sure whether they’re in the middle of a transition, but I had to go outside to connect to my room. The hallway and stairway smelled, I couldn’t turn the heat off when it got too hot and could only lower the temperature, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. The furniture looked like it needed replacing.
