Central Loop Hotel

The water bottle dispensers on every floor were a huge plus for walking around Chicago. We came for the Field Museum, so the central location suited us well. After a long train ride we were wiped out, and Adrian at the front desk helped get us into a room ASAP. She was knowledgeable, clever, and funny, and her check-in help put us in a good mood. The room was nice but a bit aged. The TV was top notch, and we especially appreciated the hot shower and pleasantly scented soap. When we left, Lashaun handled checkout and our bags, including delicate equipment, with a lot of care. I recommend the hotel and hope it does well.

Rooms are a little outdated, and standard rooms don’t have a fridge. There are cold water dispensers on every floor, though, and the lower level has delicious regular and specialty coffee. Parking can be arranged at nearby garages, which is convenient. It’s a cozy place in an excellent location, with plenty within walking distance and public transit for getting around. I’d stay again.

The hotel was easy to find your way around, and the location was convenient. What stood out most was the service, starting as soon as I came through the front door. Miss Adrian at the front desk was warm and welcoming. She got me checked in quickly and sorted out early access to my room before I even asked. She seemed to recognize I was ready to relax and settle in, and took care of what I needed throughout the stay. I had a very positive experience and would definitely return.

I had the date wrong and booked a day later than I meant to, but the staff were completely understanding and helped me through every step. Mike Perez was a breath of fresh air compared with hotel staff I’ve encountered in recent years, probably ever. The room was a little smaller than I expected, though I wasn’t expecting a huge space in the city. The breakfast is well worth it, and the experience was really nice overall.
