Hyatt Place Chicago/River North

The breakfast was just okay, pretty average, and the hotel could improve the meal quality. There are much better breakfast spots around town. Still, the price felt fair for a hotel in the heart of the city, and they kept their standards up. The crew were lovely, especially Santosi, who helped me with whatever I needed in the restaurant during breakfast and was always friendly to every customer. The hotel is cozy, and my room was clean and spacious for my four-night stay. Many attractions are nearby and walkable. For Navy Pier, the Planetarium, and the Aquarium, you need a bus, but the stop is only a 5-8 minute walk away.

I love the location and the comfortable hotel, and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast buffet is great. They could use the real plates, mugs, cups, and utensils already available in the restaurant more consistently, instead of adding so much to the landfill. Please also make recycling available for guests.

All the workers we met were welcoming, pleasant, and accommodating, and I would definitely come back. Marisol made check-in quick and thorough, with useful suggestions for getting more out of our stay. Barsha cleaned our room, and it was absolutely spotless, even under the black light we bring along. D³Angelo helped coordinate our luggage and checkout.

María made us feel welcome and looked after from the moment we arrived. She was professional, kind, attentive to details, and always willing to help. Her warm approach made a real difference to our stay. It's clear she takes pride in her work and cares about guests' experience. Hyatt is lucky to have her. Thanks for making the stay so special.
