The rooftop still had beautiful views in winter, though the bar was just okay, nothing especially wow. The $8 bottle of water was a stretch, possibly illegal. 😅 I had a really good weekend at LondonHouse Chicago. Everyone I met, from the door staff and front desk to people in the elevator, was welcoming and friendly. My modern room was comfortable and had everything I needed, with an amazing view, though the carpets seemed a bit dirty and detracted from the stay a little. I'd recommend the hotel if you get the chance. The location and staff were great, with just a few small misses.

Our river-view room was well worth it. The window was wide enough for me to sit and relax while looking outside, and the room's decorations were beautiful. It was clean, service was great, and the smart TV let us sign into streaming accounts like Netflix. The location was amazing, close to the main attractions and within walking distance of most places. A 10/10 experience. All photos are views from our room.

The location and river views are the highlights. We could walk everywhere, with lots of buses less than a 2 minute walk away and the subway nearby. Elevators were fast, with no waiting, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, though not modern. Some drawbacks: the rooms feel a bit outdated, the shower pressure was low, and you can hear elevator noise if your room is close to it. Gold/diamond member credit can only go toward room service or the bar, not breakfast. All in all, a good stay that could be better, but those views and the location are amazing.

The location is wonderful, within walking distance of the Chicago River, Millenium, Michigan Ave and more, depending on how much walking you want to do. The rooms have nice decor and finishes, a bit higher quality than budget hotels. The Christmas decor looked great in the entrance and lobby, and the rooftop was nice for the views and holiday decorations. There was no pool, and I couldn't get spa services when I stopped by. There's a fitness center, but I didn't use it this time. Breakfast is available at the first-floor restaurant, but they couldn't accommodate dietary restrictions, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have those. The Bellhops were kind, friendly, and helpful. The front drop-off, parking, and valet area is small and gets congested, especially at check-in and check-out. Elevators can get busy at peak times, though otherwise they were okay. The walls between rooms weren't very soundproof either. I could hear the TV next door.
