The apartment looks impressive when you first walk in. It’s big and has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need. But after a few nights, the rundown condition becomes hard to ignore. About 60% of the outlets in the rooms don’t work, and some are actually hanging out of the wall, which is dangerous. The walls are thin, so hallway noise carries loudly. The rooms weren’t clean, with stains on the sheets, and housekeeping doesn’t seem to be their strong suit. The bathtubs are usually clogged, and neither of the two temperature controls worked. The dishes and cutlery in the kitchen were dirty, so expect to wash everything before using it. The floor also needs a complete rework. It feels like they built these apartments, found all the mistakes, and turned them into a hotel when nobody wanted to rent them. You can get a very good hotel in Chicagp for the same price, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here. They also overcharged me by a few dollars. If that happens to everyone, as I assume, they’d make a pretty good profit from it.

The view is amazing, and parking is easy to access. The rooms and furnishings are immaculate and look great. It’s a perfect spot for a long business stay or an extended getaway, and I’m already looking to book again soon. Good company, great branding, and excellent staff. In an already crowded market, it’s a breath of fresh air. Great job!

The apartments are beautiful, but leasing has been a horrible experience so far. We were excited to move in, and now we’re questioning why we signed the lease. The staff are consistently hard to reach, no matter when we call, and keep saying they’re busy. We’ve had to follow up with management again and again just to get a call or email back, and even then our questions aren’t answered. I truly hope things improve after we move in, but right now I wouldn’t recommend leasing here to an enemy.

Staff were excellent, especially for this kind of property. The location is fabulous, with entertainment, shopping, and history only a few blocks away. My room had floor-to-ceiling windows and great views. There were a few maintenance niggles, including the ice maker, and more wear and tear than I expected here and there. The beds let things down most: worn-out mattresses and noisy frames.

These rooms are set up for extended stays, with a full kitchen, bedroom and walk-in closet, full bath, washer and dryer, plus access to a gym and pool. Each room has its own Wi-Fi router, which is nice. The gym and pool are shared with the hotel on the lower floors, and can get a little busy since they’re not very large. Housekeeping only services the rooms once every two weeks. There’s a distinct odor in the room. Another annoyance is that the light switches aren’t connected to the lamps around the room, so you have to turn each lamp’s dial to switch it on or off.
