We booked the room the day before because we’d arrive early in the morning, well before check-in. The hotel emailed to say there was a problem with our payment method and sent a link to fix it. We’d used a credit card, and after entering the requested information, the link still didn’t work. Nobody was available when we called for help. At the hotel, the same card went through just fine when we checked in. But they charged us both a no-show fee for not arriving the day before and the cost of that missed night. We would have been okay with the no-show fee by itself. There was also a daily resort fee that hadn’t been published when we booked. It supposedly included six bottles of water a day and other things, but we never got the water. The only thing we received was a $10 gift card we didn’t use. Definitely feels like a hidden fee. The person ahead of us at checkout had a bad experience, too. Our stay was far less than rosy, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at any price, especially when there are nicer places with better amenities in just as good a location.

The rooms were nice, but what did the extra $45 a night get me? None of the amenities I paid for worked or applied to this location. The shared fridge had moldy food, the games were all broken, and the gourmet kitchen was gross. Even the restaurant was somewhere else.

Affordable and simple, with a character of its own. This was a different kind of Chicago hotel for me, more budget-friendly and less chain-like. A good fit for travelers looking for something a bit different without spending a lot.

We had no idea when booking online that a huge, mandatory “Amenities Package” was going to be added, and it was pure garbage. The booking couldn’t be refunded, so I was stuck. This place is a SCAM. STAY AWAY.

The staff have been great, and the rooms are really cool. The bunk bed setup is cool, and the beds are pretty comfortable. The games area is okay. Lots of attractions are an easy walk, about 15 minutes.
