The Golden Arm

John communicated perfectly, and we really appreciated the shared kitchenette with a Keurig, coffee pods, and a small fridge. The stairs are steep, as noted, but that's in keeping with the local architecture. We were in the area to visit our daughter, who had just moved nearby. The room was spacious, beautiful, and clean, with the historic building's charm and a modern, clean bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, and it was wonderfully quiet at night despite all the great restaurants close by. Everything was lovely. Thanks for such a great stay.

The customer service was outstanding. They made sure I got in okay and helped reunite me with something I'd lost there. This cozy little place is right by the historic area, and the room was pleasant with a nice hot shower. I'd definitely stay again.

The stairs are narrow and steep enough to give you a workout, so maybe go for the third floor, lol. Brighter lighting and new carpet could make them easier to manage. Still, the place was lovely, clean, and warm, and the kitchen was spotless. It's perfectly situated among all the bars and restaurants. I'd recommend it and stay again.

As a former Chicagoan, I felt right at home with the building's historic details and decor. Ukrainian Village, West Town, and Wicker Park are full of my favorite spots, and I'll stay here again. It was below zero outside and I was worn out, so arriving to a warm, cozy room was a real treat. There was an extra throw blanket draped over the bed, which I took to the lounge chair in the corner, and I used the little foot massager too.
