The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown

Raymond and Javier made the valet experience great. It was my first time using valet, and Javier patiently walked me through the process and answered all my questions. Raymond had incredible manners, and I felt my car was in good hands. The valet team as a whole is attentive and clearly cares about guests and what they need. Those two deserve a raise. I’ll definitely be back.

Josh at the front desk was attentive, professional, and friendly. His breakfast suggestion, Wildberry, turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve had in the area, and his help and recommendations added a lot to our stay. We had a high-floor corner room with a lovely river view. The windows wrapped around nearly 180 degrees, so we could take in the scenery from several angles, and the room felt open and special. It was well prepared, and room service was prompt throughout our stay. We had a wonderful visit, with great service and views, and the hotel was very well run. It exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

The lobby was warm and nicely arranged, which we appreciated on an extremely cold weekend. Our room was clean, spacious, and very nice, and they even brought up a microwave when we asked. The location was great, with lovely views and everything we needed within walking distance. We’ll stay here again when we’re back in Chicago.

The river view is beautiful, and in summer it’d be fun to have the river walk right across the street. Emerald Loop, a nice Irish bar for food and drinks, is just around the corner. The rooms are a step above, with two queen beds, a sitting area, and plenty of space. The beds were comfortable, and the roomy bathroom had two sinks, a tub, and a nice shower with hot water. The lobby and hotel bar are very nice too, and the staff were friendly. Valet parking felt like a special treat, and it was worth it.
