The lobby was a mess, with boxes and mail that looked days old, holes in the walls, and loose carpet. Our first room smelled like urine, and the replacement smelled like marijuana. The sheets were stained and covered in pubic hair, so I had to change them myself for my baby girl. A random man gave her a rose, and I felt so unsafe. This place was gross and scary.

The desk agent was adversarial from the moment I approached him. When I asked for another room, he claimed the mattresses were new and cleaned monthly, though what I saw made that hard to believe. He said there were no other rooms and that I had to request a refund through the Motel 6 app because he couldn't issue one. He also wouldn't give me the customer service number. The property was advertised as recently refurbished and under new management, but we arrived, checked the mattresses right away, and found ancient ones that didn't look recently cleaned and showed signs of bed bugs.

Room 133 at the Motel 6 in Chickasha, Oklahoma was the nastiest room I've ever seen, and I've stayed in plenty over the years. There was a hole in the wall, cockroaches that kept us leaving the lights on, dried vomit right by the entrance, cobwebs in every corner, and pubic hair all over the bathroom. At least the bed was clean. We smelled marijuana all night, too. Outside, two doors down, a whole window was busted out, and under the stairs there were two overflowing trash cans with fires all around them the next morning. I've got pictures. I'm trying to get my money back, but nobody answers and the call goes to voicemail. There's a No Refunds sign at the office, but we'll see. I'd sleep in my car before staying at another Motel 6. They need to make this right. The place should be condemned, and the parking lot already looks that way.

We asked for cleaning supplies and were handed fabric refresher. My wife spent 40 minutes cleaning with our own cleaner so we could settle in. There was a $25 deposit, and they planned to check that our dog hadn't damaged anything before checkout. Anything the dog could do would improve this place. There were goodies in the sheets, so we're sleeping in our clothes tonight. The room smelled so strongly of some kind of incense that it made our eyes burn. There was pee around the toilet base, partly used soap from previous guests, burn holes in the sheets, and enough hair on the bathroom floor to rival Fabio in his prime. The bed made a strange metal boing sound when you sat on the end. I don't complain often, and I've never reviewed somewhere while still staying there, but this is the dirtiest property I've seen firsthand. If you need an easy way to get someone to break up with you, promise them somewhere nice and bring them here. They'll dump you in a couple of hours. I never say this, but I can't recommend it for humans.

I paid $90 for the room and was bitten by bed bugs. Management gave me $20 and some quarters for laundry. The receipt was supposed to be emailed to me, but it still hasn't arrived.
