Haven Inn Of Chico

The room felt unsafe, and several other people staying there looked questionable, with some seeming to live there. It was filthy: the bathroom door was bashed in, the floors and baseboards looked untouched, the bed table had crusty residue, and the TV didn’t work.

The rooms are filthy, and in the ones I’ve seen, I’ve found roaches and bedbugs. Staff treat guests like a nuisance. They’ll say there are no rooms, then rent that same room less than an hour later, and there are family members staying for free. People stare at you and get into your business, while you’re expected to stay out of theirs. I’ve seen drug deals and domestic violence there, too. They’ll find any reason to take your money and lie to your face. Save your money, health, and family from this awful experience. Most, if not all, of these rooms are unfit for people, and it’s disgusting that the place is allowed to operate like this.

Police were already leaving when we arrived. After checking in, we got to the room and within a minute saw cockroaches, bedbugs, and trash all over it. It was probably the worst place I’ve ever visited. I never usually write reviews, but I want to warn anyone looking for a cheap room: don’t go here. Pay more for one of the quality hotels. The woman at the desk was respectful, and I’m not blaming her, but save your time and money and stay elsewhere.

We got here yesterday, and the room was disgusting. The walls were filthy, the shower handle came off, and there were so many cockroaches that we stayed up killing them. I told the woman at the desk, and she gave me a trap and said to put it somewhere, so I put it in the bathroom. There was no microwave, just three towels on the counter. Nothing about the place was nice. We’re leaving today.
