Hotel Káterina

The beds were really comfortable, and the toiletries smelled like a high-end spa. We also had drinks at the downstairs bar, 10/10. The hotel is stunning, our stay was wonderful, and the staff were so friendly. We can’t wait to try the rooftop bar when the weather is better. We’ll absolutely stay here again when we come to Chico to visit family.

That complimentary peanut brittle was splendid. I nearly ate enough to make myself sick! I also loved the food from Rancher’s Daughter, absolutely delicious, 10/10 with no complaints. The hotel has a gym with a sauna and a steam room, and my boyfriend especially loved that. We drove up from SoCal for a wedding in the area, and even though the trip was long, I felt lucky to spend my time in Chico at Hotel Katerina. When the desk attendant asked why we were in town, I mentioned the wedding; when we got back, she remembered and asked how it went. Such a small thing, but it meant a lot that staff took the time to get to know guests, even just a little. This may have been my first and last visit to Chico, but if I do come back, Hotel Katerina will be my destination. Thanks for making a short stay memorable.

The room was clean, the bed super comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and friendly. The decor is a little unexpected for the area and demographic, but cute, maybe a bit bright. The hallway carpet and wallpaper definitely make you look twice. The dark monkey wallpaper in the bathroom is actually really cute, and the bathroom as a whole felt relaxed, almost spa-like. I’ll definitely stay again.

The hotel is about a year old, so the rooms are nice and clean. Service at the hotel, rooftop bar, and restaurant was good. Room service is another story: it took three days to get the sheets changed, despite four notifications by phone and at the front desk. The location is around a small shopping area with plenty of fast food and chain restaurants, not near the charming downtown. You be the judge.
