We turned around and left as soon as a baby roach ran out by the elevator while my husband was stepping in. I wouldn’t even walk back into the building. It looked like a dump outside, and after seeing that, we weren’t going to stay. My husband went back to cancel and explained why, but the woman at the desk said she couldn’t do it for 24 hours. He told her to cancel it then, since we weren’t staying because of the roaches. She asked whether we’d even seen the room. She eventually said she’d cancelled, but couldn’t provide a receipt. I’m appalled at how unprofessionally she handled it, especially since the problem was theirs. Friends of ours went to check their room, and it was filthy: dirty floors, toothpaste smeared over the sink, bottle caps behind the nightstand, and crumbs on the floor. No wonder there are roaches. I see we’re not the first to have these problems. Why hasn’t a health inspector shut this place down? They should be embarrassed to check people into rooms like that. Do better.

A roach came out of the elevator air vent, and I killed it and checked that it was a roach, not a bed bug. Our room was roomy and comfortable, but the hallways and ice machines were grimy, and the place didn’t feel clean or pleasant. The hosts weren’t very friendly either. We were glad when the stay was over.

We drove four hours to visit Jungle Jim’s and chose this hotel because it was only a few minutes away. The room looked clean at first, but there was visible debris under the furniture. The supposed king bed had a noticeable dip in the middle, so neither of us slept well. Breakfast was poor, every table was dirty, and the garbage was overflowing. I’m not sure the staff even spoke English. I won’t stay at this hotel again.

The room was dirty, especially under the furniture, and there was trash left in a dresser drawer. The hall carpet looked dingy, the mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, and breakfast wasn’t kept up well. Every table was dirty, with overflowing trash. Staff were missing most of the time. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Breakfast was still available until 10:30, and there was plenty to choose from. The hotel is in a pleasant spot with lots of shopping nearby. My room stayed quiet, got to a comfortable temperature quickly, and was very clean. The bed was really comfortable too.
