Hyatt Regency Cincinnati

The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I did notice stains on the TV stand and a tear in the headboard, which felt disappointing for what the rooms cost. Staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them. I really like the location: an easy walk to the fount square, and roughly a 10-15 minute walk to the Banks depending on your pace. I'd come back if I needed to.

There are plenty of places to eat in the hotel and around the city. Bianca, the restaurant manager, even sent me home with some of the tomato jam from the grilled chicken sandwich. So good! Leeka served us both times and was excellent at her job.

It was a busy holiday weekend, but our room stayed quiet. Christina was friendly and knew the area well, and we enjoyed our visit. There's a lot to do nearby, including an ice-skating rink we could see from the room. The valet team was great too.

I stay in hotels almost every week for work and know this brand, so I expected better. During my 3/2-3/3/26 stay, the room AC got plenty cold, but the bedding was much too thin. What looked like stacked sheets turned out to be an old, flattened comforter between linen layers, with most of its filling gone. At 130am, after getting cold and wanting to keep the AC low, I called the desk for an extra blanket and offered to come get it. The receptionist said she'd check, then called back to say she'd looked in other rooms and the whole hotel's supply was with an "outside contractor" for laundering. That sounds hard to believe, though maybe she was misinformed. She also said she'd checked other rooms, but should have taken bedding from an unoccupied room and brought it to me. That would have fixed the problem. Cincinnati Hyatt, you need to do better.
