Hampton Inn Clackamas

The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating, and the room was reasonably priced. Still, this is probably the most dated Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at in at least five years, and I travel often for work. The highway noise was deafening, and the AC unit was also very loud. The small room smelled of mildew and stale cigarettes. Cleanliness was passable. I didn’t feel very safe in the parking lot, hallway, or room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless affordability is your main priority.

We came for a wedding, and the location worked out well, with everything just minutes from the hotel. The front desk service was always available, and they had the essentials we hadn’t expected to need. We also used the lounge for card games, and the fresh coffee and chocolate chip cookies were a nice bonus. The bathroom had plenty of hooks, which is so helpful when traveling, but it was smaller than bathrooms at other Hamptons we’ve stayed in. The room was a little smaller than usual too, especially the closet space.

I’ve stayed here twice, and it’s a great place to stay in a great location. The rooms are huge and very clean, with a nice space to eat in. Breakfast was great, with eggs, oatmeal, cold cereal, juice, coffee, bagels, and toast. The little extras were lovely too: free bottled water, chocolate chip cookies, and a travel sack for the road.

The staff are always eager to help make your stay comfortable, and it kind of feels like a home away from home. The room was nice and clean, the hot breakfast delicious, and they had complimentary water bottles and cookies all day long. I think this is the first hotel I’ve stayed at that provides those. There’s plenty of parking, too. Definitely one of the best HHonor brand hotels. I’d recommend it to anyone coming to the area for work or leisure. I hope the hotel management takes good care of the staff. They deserve it.
