I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but this was the place within my budget at the time. The rooms could use some work, though mine was spacious enough that I didn’t feel as closed in as I usually do in hotels or motels. What I like most is feeling safe and comfortable here. I’m fine with my toddler playing outside, and the other guests are friendly. Some kids a few doors down play with my son, and I’m happy he can make friends and get active outdoors.

Beware of the AI-generated pictures! This place is a dump. The room he tried to put me in had no curtains, a TV sitting on the floor, and smelled of cat urine and cigarette smoke. There were holes in the walls and the doors were falling apart. Most of the people there seemed to live there permanently. It felt like a homeless shelter. Don’t be fooled by the photos, nothing about this property is as clean as they make it look.

Don’t book by phone. They lie about the price and say there’s only one room left to pressure you into reserving. I tried to cancel when the stay was still 16 days away and less than 24 hours after I booked, and they wanted to keep the cost of one night. Who does that anymore? Nobody!

When we arrived, they didn’t have our reservation for three nights, and they were fully booked. We had to get a refund and look for somewhere else to stay. Not happy.

We paid cash at premium daily rates, including $477 for a weekly rental, but were told to leave two days early. The front desk was very rude. The rooms were dirty and unsanitary: hair in the tub and on the sink, mold in the bathroom caulking, tiny black bugs on the floor and sheets, and beds and sheets that didn’t seem sanitized. The air conditioner filter was caked with about a quarter inch of dust, dirt, and hair. I washed it in the bathtub. While staying there, I had nasal congestion and felt ill. The bathrooms and plumbing had problems, too. A badly fitted shower handle put the controls on the wrong taps, and I scalded my foot; my friend burned a hand and forearm. There were broken lamps, missing TVs, and outlets that tripped, shutting off the fridge and microwave. The breaker panel and hot water tank were in our closet and needed access in the middle of the night. Paint cans and coffee maker parts were under the bar sink. Curtains and valances were falling apart and wouldn’t close properly or keep the light out. Toilet paper, towels, shampoo, soap, and sheets weren’t supplied daily. We were told housekeeping didn’t come and we had to ask in advance. The ice machine worked sporadically and was usually empty at night. There was nightly screaming and domestic violence between the walls. Our vehicle was dented during a domestic incident, and another occupant’s vehicle was hit during an episode involving someone distressed. Garbage and broken items were left by the curb. The rooms were overcrowded with pets and didn’t seem sanitary for people displaced by fires or other tragedies. I was told by cleaning staff who lived on site that rooms were rented to people involved in nonstop drug dealing and prostitution, as well as people uprooted by local fires who were waiting for relief. The staff did help us with leftover products. I also heard that a family with pets was evicted after the air conditioner was taken out of their window to force them to move, leaving a child with special needs and an older brother in a room that was too hot. Two male front office staff were involved in what I saw as poor management. When we asked for basic accommodations and documented people being bullied and thrown out, we were threatened with eviction and losing our two prepaid nights. The next morning we were told to leave. I heard that others with complaints would also be removed and not welcomed back. People were displaced at night, scrambling for help, and I saw bystanders trying to feed and clothe each other. I asked the office to consider contacting NYS to inspect for mold and water problems because people were getting sick and worried about the building. I didn’t relax or sleep except from exhaustion. We kept trying in good faith to resolve one issue after another, but got broken promises. There were no phones in the rooms. I repeatedly asked for refunds or reimbursement for code violations, especially with high local rates during sporting events and bad weather. I hope the owners get support fixing these problems and that NYS inspectors help everyone there.
