The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis

It was lovely to see that kind of hospitality is still around. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this year. We'd taken a European trip a couple of months earlier, but wanted to mark the actual anniversary too, so we booked a night at the Ritz with dinner. The staff welcomed us warmly and congratulated us. They upgraded our room and left champagne with a nice note. Those small touches meant a lot, and we appreciated them. Thanks to the whole staff at Ritz STL. Well done!

The holiday brunch spread was delicious, with mahi-mahi, crispy bacon, prime rib, frittata, and a good range of dishes. Staff kept the coffee, juice, and water topped up, and the bartenders were lovely. There were enough bar stations to avoid long drink lines. Everything about the venue was superb, and I feel fortunate I got to attend.

The bed was so good I never wanted to get out of it. When I did, I enjoyed the city view, the gym, and the whole feel of the Ritz-Carlton. Everything about my room was fantastic. 10/10, I'd recommend it, or even insist a friend stay at the Ritz.

We wanted a slow, restful weekend with good meals for our anniversary, and the St. Louis Ritz was just right. My husband and I travel somewhere new each year to celebrate, and this time we were marking our 14th anniversary. Between the beautiful hotel, legendary Spa, and outstanding staff, the stay felt special and memorable. Faith at Reception greeted us with a big friendly smile and got us settled right away. Kadir and Kenna at the front desk made things even nicer with an elegant room upgrade we hadn't expected. We found a handwritten welcome card and chocolate covered strawberries from Terrence at Guest Relations in our room. Those details were much appreciated. Almina looked after the room, brought extra tea and water bottles when we asked, anticipated what we'd need, and left replacements for things we'd used. I've worked in professional housekeeping, so I especially appreciate that hardworking team. They really are the glue holding places like this together. Thanks to Almina and her colleagues. We also enjoyed the Club Lounge, where Emma, Suada, and Michael were wonderful hosts. The raspberry cheesecake and breakfast were favorites. Emma made my husband a nice Old Fashioned, and Michael had a non alcoholic beer for me, a thoughtful option for people who are sober. The highlight was the Spa. Julia welcomed us so warmly, and Tiffany Decker gave me the best massage I've ever had. The Spa was sparkling clean, the steam room and sauna were relaxing, and the amenities were well stocked. This Ritz Carlton is highly ranked in the U.S. for good reason, with its skilled therapists and service. Tiffany has the strength and stamina to ease everyday pain and tension, and her calm, positive energy and intuitive feel for the mind-body connection made the massage deeply healing. Layer by layer, my constant pain and tension melted away, and I felt reset after one appointment. I didn't have to awkwardly explain during the massage what needed attention. We've had a couples massage at the five-star Xcaret Arte resort Spa in Mexico. The beautiful eco forward resort, surroundings, and service there were top notch, Ritz-Carlton tier. I mean no disrespect to Arte, but the massage I received there left much to be desired, even after polite feedback and asking for adjustments. Tiffany's work at this local gem deserves a special shout out. If you're staying here or live nearby, don't overlook the chance to get a massage from her.
