Lakeside Inn

I found it hard to leave the room, with such a peaceful, scenic view from a perfect location. The staff made an effort to make me feel welcome, and the accommodations were comfortable with quality amenities. It was a really relaxing escape, and I’m already looking forward to another stay.

We’d come back to this lovely Inn on the lake. Our rooms were comfortable, with patios and sunset views over the lake, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were here for a family reunion, and the outdoor patio restaurant was lovely. There were also lots of options and coffee shops close by.

The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the view was amazing. But there were sticky little handprints in the middle of the patio door, and an unknown white substance on the closet drawer and handle. The place could use some small cosmetic upgrades. I mentioned it to the front desk at checkout. The location itself was beautiful, but making the reservation was frustrating. A man answered the phone with a lot of loud background noise, and I had to repeat my card number several times. The next day he called to say he hadn't gotten all my information and needed it again. By then, I wasn't sure where my card number had ended up.

The room was cute, and the view was pretty even in February. As someone traveling alone, though, I wish there were better safeguards. The room door had just one flimsy lock, as did the sliding glass door, and the lack of night staff felt a little unnerving. I’d also like a confirmation email after booking so I can look back at the details.
