The rooms weren’t especially nice, though our two-night stay itself was okay. What upset me was finding white lines and residue all over the tall wooden seat when I pulled it out to the table. It looked like it might be coke, presumably left by a previous guest, though I have no idea how long it had been there. Whatever happens in hotel rooms, the table should at least be cleaned between visitors. I was very glad our two-year-old wasn’t with us.

We paid very little for the room, and it turned out to be far more than we expected. The outside looked like an older motel, so we thought we’d be getting a small, grimy space. Inside, though, it was roomy, nice, and exceptionally clean. For that price, it was a great deal.

The room stayed quiet even after the motel filled up that night. It was clean, inexpensive, and the people were really friendly, so I thought it was a great deal. There’s also a 10% discount at the restaurant next door, where the food was decent and service very quick. It has an old-fashioned little motel feel.

I’m from Europe, and this was my first drive-in hotel. I’d heard stories about filthy motels, so I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. The room, sheets, and bathroom were all clean, and it was a good place to sleep for the night. It’s on a quiet road, with an American-style breakfast spot right across from it. Such a fun experience for a European visitor. I loved it.
