The office staff showed me real kindness when I was in a frightening spot and had nowhere to go. I'd just come out of months of hospital care and rehab for a leg injury, and my Social Security payments had stopped for reasons I didn't know. That delayed getting into my new housing. I only had enough money for a couple of nights, and since it was a weekend, I couldn't reach the government offices. I arrived on Thursday, explained what had happened to the desk clerk, and showed proof that I received government payments and had money I couldn't access yet. They trusted me through the weekend and helped me through the crisis without hesitation. The clerk took payment for just one night and said I could settle up at checkout, because he didn't want me to go without food. He was so caring, even giving me a smile. It's hard to find that kind of help these days. The hotel is clean and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. The people in the office are among the best. To me, this place deserves a hundred stars.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and roomy. I felt safe in the area, with a restaurant and bar within walking distance and a gas station nearby. The in-room setup was great too: a work desk, mini fridge and freezer, microwave, full-size closet, and a vanity area separate from the bathroom. I'd definitely stay again when passing through. - Mica W

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the accommodations were pleasant. Noise can carry through the adjoining walls, though, so loud guests may be a bit intrusive. Even so, this was probably my best hotel experience in Lake County.

Is this hotel a scam? My confirmation email said I could cancel by calling the hotel, but I tried several times and nobody picked up. There was no option to leave a message, just an automated British-accented voice apologizing that they couldn't answer. The line didn't ring normally either, it made a beeping sound. I emailed them and got an automatic reply saying the address didn't exist. Then I used the contact form on their website and heard nothing back. It's so strange. Don't book here. I'm worried you might show up and find the hotel closed.

The room had plenty of space and stayed cool, with a mini fridge and freezer, coffee maker, iron, big flat-screen TV with lots of channels, and plenty of places to charge devices. The Wi-Fi was fast and the air conditioning worked well. Check-in was easy, and the staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hotel was clean and well maintained, with good parking in a quiet, convenient location. A comfortable, affordable stay, and I’d recommend it.
