Creekside Lodge

This place is peaceful and charming, with a grocery store, coffee house, and really good pizza just a five-minute drive away. There’s a gas station with a mini mart next door and plenty of parking. It may not be conveniently located near the bigger towns, but it’s quiet, and I think it’s the least expensive lodging in the county. I hadn’t heard many good things about the motel from locals, which is unfortunate because it really is nice. The rooms have all been recently remodeled and updated, mine even had a newer bed, and everything was clean. Service was excellent. They should do more advertising to improve the local reputation. It’s a lovely, quiet place to get away.

I was only visiting a friend from out of town and stayed for a few hours. I didn’t meet the staff myself, but my friend said she was very nice and even worked with him on the deposit. I’d never known there was a back side to the motel. The room was lovely, with a mountainside view, and there’s a grassy area with relaxing swings and a BBQ. If I ever need a room around there, I’d definitely choose this motel.

A mini fridge and microwave in the room were a big help, and the hotel itself is really nice. It was clean and quiet, in a lovely location. I’m only taking off a star because the shower pressure wasn’t great and TV service was limited due to the location, but neither was a big issue.

I knew what to expect for $80 a night, but I’d booked a nonsmoking room and it had a strong smoke smell. There was no kind of refund available. For a cheap motel, all I expected was a nonsmoking room that didn’t smell bad from smoke.
