Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cleburne by IHG

The pool was warm and the hot tub was a favorite. I enjoyed the fitness room too, even though the treadmill was out of order. Breakfast deserves extra credit, especially the baby pancakes. Wifey gives those two thumbs up.

The third room was fine, but by then we’d already moved three times. We first booked a pet-friendly suite for $236 and change. The first room had dried old pet feces on the floor, the next suite had no AC, and we ended up in a double room. They didn’t adjust the rate, saying that was the pet rate. I’d paid $226 at checkout, and the room alone had been $189 when I booked with pets. They claimed it was $209. I know $20 isn’t much, but after finding feces in the room and going through all those moves, they should have been glad I stayed at all. Instead they wanted to argue about it. Not happy.

Breakfast was genuinely great, even on Sunday, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. When we had a maintenance problem, they moved us to another room without any hassle or questions. The beds were good too. I’ve had bad stays at Holiday Inn more than once, so I didn’t expect much, but this place was awesome. The showers are hard to leave, with hot water and a great shower head. ❤️❤️

Rest mattered a lot because we were in town for our kids’ competition, but we had noise all night and wouldn’t stay here again. After driving about four hours and arriving late, we got a small room for $200 a night. Once we settled down, we could hear the neighbors talking at an ordinary volume, and hallway sounds came through as if people were in our room. We called to ask for another room, since we’d never heard so much noise through a hotel wall, even at other Holiday Inns. We know hotels can’t be silent, but this was unusual. The front desk refused to move us because we were already using the room, and said it was normal based on their hotel experience. Other Holiday Inns have been problem-free and cost much less. If you need proper rest, this isn’t the place for the price.
