After arriving past 11pm, we got a room with a leaking toilet, moldy carpet, a very dirty floor, broken fixtures, and a loud a/c. I killed a huge roach about half an hour after checking in. They kindly gave us another room the next morning, but it was dirty too and had broken fixtures. Staff were okay, though. There were drug addicts wandering through the parking lot at night and early morning. We travel a lot and know how to look after ourselves, but if you’re not used to that, I’d find somewhere safer. This is basically somewhere to sleep, if the highway noise right outside your door lets you.

Traffic could be heard, but keeping the AC fan running helped cover most of it. The room was dated, though clean and bug-free, and the front desk was very friendly. Plaza Travel Inn isn’t a luxury place, but it isn’t a flop house either. Rates around here can be outrageous, while this one was fairly reasonable. Given that, I’d give it an extra star. A good stay.

We felt safe and very welcome during our affordable two-night stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the WiFi was really fast, and everyone working there was sweet and helpful. Motel manager Tony was especially accommodating and gave us suggestions for places to go and eat. The showers got very hot, though one had a bit of a drainage problem.

The location worked well, right across from a gas station that stayed open all night. For $70, I got about what I expected: the sheets seemed clean, but the pillows were worn out and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been updated since 1965. It was okay as a cheap place to rest while crossing the state. For about $80 more, I could’ve stayed at the Best Western down the road.
