Park Manor Hotel

For under $90, I thought the stay was worth it and would come back. My room was large, clean, and nicely decorated, though it wasn't breathtaking. The lobby wasn't much to look at, but I only went there to pick up a few things from the complimentary breakfast: a bagel, orange juice, and yogurt. The hotel seems to need a lot of repairs, and my impression was that the owners may not be able to afford them right now. As of October 16, 2025, the elevator was out of order. That wasn't a problem for us since we could carry our luggage to the second floor. The pool was also closed, and there were smaller cosmetic things that needed attention, like chipped furniture and white spackle showing on the wall by the stairs. Reviews of Park Manor Hotel seem to go to extremes, either calling the rooms breathtaking or describing it as the dirtiest hotel ever. My experience was somewhere in between: a clean, large, nicely decorated room, with a property that needs work.

The outside looks nice, but the rooms and bathrooms aren't worth these rates. I've stayed in cheaper Motel 6s that were nicer, and it doesn't seem like anyone is interested in fixing the place up. The staff were foreigners who had just arrived, and I couldn't understand them. Maybe this would be considered acceptable for the price in their home country, but not here.

The bathroom was filthy. The bottom of the sink felt sticky and dirty, as if it hadn't been cleaned in over a month. There were stains on the towels and bedding, black mold from water damage on the window sills, and the in-room coffee machine was disgustingly dirty. The housekeeping was horrendous. We stayed on the third floor, but the elevator was out the entire time. At check-in they said it would be fixed in 30 minutes, which wasn't true. Guests had reported it broken more than a month earlier, so I don't think the owner planned to fix it. I'll never stay here again.

I remembered having a good stay here years ago, so I booked again, but this time was completely different. The room wasn't properly cleaned, the toilet paper holder was broken, pins were pushed into the couch arm, and the couch smelled strange. Since I live locally, I cut my losses and went home after three hours. If those were the things I could see, I can only imagine what I couldn't 🤮
