Days Inn by Wyndham Cloverdale Greencastle

I was traveling alone with my dog and needed a bed for one night on my route. For the price, this place did the job, and I had no complaints. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was affordable, clean, and comfortable, and the heater worked. I appreciated the dog fee being around $20, not some outrageous $75 charge. The folks here are clearly trying to improve an older setup, and I wish them success. There was coffee and a simple grab-and-go breakfast in the lobby: cereal, yogurt, premade breakfast sandwiches, fruit, bagels, microwave options, and a few other things. It wasn't a big hot breakfast. The bathroom fixtures were clean, though the paint around the tub drain was chipping. It looked like a DIY refinish that will keep flaking, but it didn't bother me during my five-minute shower. The toilet, sink, tub, bed, sheets, and pillows were all nice. I did have to use a hair clip to keep the drapes together, probably just an issue in my room. Sheers along with the heavy curtains could add privacy. I worked as a high-end painter for years, so I noticed the recent painting and updates. The paint work could be picked apart, including latex peeling from a metal door frame with no prep, but I'm happy to offer pointers or suggest better products if management wants advice.

A decent place to stop for a quick rest while traveling. The night manager was excellent, and the room, though older, was in good shape. It looked like the hotel had been renovated recently. The shower seemed due for replacement, and the breakfast area needed more attention, with no juice in the machine.

The rooms are kept clean by housekeeping, and the on-site management is attentive and professional. The place looks recently remodeled and painted and is well cared for. The parking lot is well lit, with space for trailers and boats.

The man at the desk was courteous and helpful, and took time to explain the rules and what I needed to know. I like Wyndham and Choice hotels when they're clean and the staff are good. General manager dipen Patel, please congratulate your night clerk for the professional, excellent service. Good job on the hotel's presentation.
