The pool looks more like a pond and hasn’t been usable for about two years, so I don’t believe recent swimming claims. Prices are cheap, though weekends cost more and rates can change. They’ve made a few updates, including new laminate flooring instead of carpet. The nonsmoking rooms seem like the best bet since they’re hardly used unless booked.

Orbitz found us a nicer place without charging extra after the motel couldn’t honor our reservation. I’d booked a month before Hurricane Matthew, but when we arrived, they said there were no rooms because ours had been given to people escaping the storm. I’m sure they got more money for it.

The room smelled awful, and there were dead and live cockroaches. Some fridges don’t work, the clothing rack was broken, and the doors wouldn’t close. We also had dirty towels and no fresh toilet paper. This place isn’t worth the price. Do better! 😡😡😡

I had a good stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and the staff, especially the owner, were friendly and helpful. Hats off to the owner for knowing how to keep the place clean.

The rooms are on the small side, but they’re kept up well and cleaned thoroughly every day. The owners are very nice.
