We left without staying in the room. When we came back from dinner, we found bugs, took our bags, and left immediately. We got a photo of one of them. Earlier, we’d noticed deep scratch marks on the wall behind the desk, a strange smell that might have been old smoke, and paint peeling badly off the door. The toilet caulk was discolored, and the bathroom tile around the tub was poorly patched. At first we thought these were manageable issues. Nick was at the front desk when we returned the room cards and told him about the bugs. He said nothing. The owner or manager never contacted us. Given the lack of response, we suspect they may already have known about the conditions. We booked through Choice Hotels and wrote to them too, but heard nothing back. We ended up at the Best Western down the street, which was clean and nice. We’ve never had trouble with Choice Hotels before, but they should inspect this location.

We booked several rooms for our group. Management were friendly and nice, and the heating and AC worked well. The location was convenient and affordable. The rooms did have a smoky smell, though. Even so, it wasn’t a bad experience.

We found a great deal for a three-day holiday weekend while on vacation, and the rooms were really nice. There’s no breakfast, just coffee. The hotel is close to the beach and to Pier 69 Rikki Tiki Bar, where you can eat and look out over the ocean.

I stayed here before without any problems, but this business trip was a different experience. I needed an economical room for one night in Cocoa Beach and was disappointed by how poorly it had been cleaned. The towels weren’t clean, and there was a block of ice in the freezer. I don’t know who was responsible for cleaning, but the job clearly hadn’t been done well. I’m unsure whether I’ll stay here again.
