The Resort on Cocoa Beach

When my partner was injured while we were out, the staff moved our room from the third floor to the first without us even asking. The service was spectacular, and Dewayne and emily at the bar were great. This place was absolutely amazing. I’d highly recommend it.

The on-site vacation place kept calling our room several times a day, trying to get us to give up vacation time to look at other timeshares in exchange for a free gift. That was the one downside. Otherwise, the staff were great, everyone was friendly, and maintenance was good. The place was very clean and well kept.

The room is huge and amazing, though I could see someone feeling a bit scared in there alone. There’s also a pool with bingo, and the lobby has an arcade, movie room, fountain, bar, restaurant called Azteca II, kids’ playroom, towel dispenser, and an exit straight to the beach. When you walk in, there’s an amazing smell right away. It’s all the way in Florida, but well worth the trip. ABSOLUTEY AMAZING, 5 stars! I don’t know how anyone could give it one star.

The location and beach were great, but I’d give that up for a clean room and better service. We drove seven hours with three kids, only to arrive at a dirty room with sand all through the closet, broken hangers, and a general mess. I told the front desk, and a nice woman came to help, but I was already upset. They offered extra towels to make up for the filthy room. It took us a while to clean it ourselves, and then the front desk called to threaten extra charges if we didn’t return the luggage carts. We had them for 30 minutes at most while I swept and cleaned. When my husband brought one back, a woman at the desk said, “you know sharing is caring,” implying he should tip her for letting him use the cart. She said it again on our last day. My husband kept telling me to let it go and enjoy the vacation, but the staff sucks big time. Apart from check-in on the first day, nobody greeted us. Whenever we asked something, the tone of the answers put us off asking more, so other guests ended up helping us instead. Don’t say I didn’t tell you so. Never again.
