Coeur D'Alene Budget Saver

I was charged twice, and after repeated calls asking to speak with someone who could help, I got excuses like “the owner is out of town” and “the accountant isn’t available.” I left over 20 messages, but nobody was willing to help. I disputed the charge through my bank and still wasn’t refunded because the business wouldn’t cooperate with them. This is from July 2024. If the owner sees this and wants to finally make it right, I’d love a call. A corrupt business to avoid.

It was a great stay for a really affordable price. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, the location was great, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. All in all, a great place.

Robbers! I didn’t stay there. I went in June and paid cash at the front desk. Just before the guy handed me the room keys, I got a call and asked to cancel the reservation. He told me to come back in the morning for a refund. When I did, he said they’d mail the money and wrote down my address. I still haven’t got it. Whenever I call, they say the manager is responsible and tell me to call back later. They say they’ll mail it to my house again. Terrible experience! I usually book through third party apps and use credit cards, but paid cash that night. I wish I’d used my card so I could get my money back through the bank. I’ve stayed there before, but these days they don’t give a shit about their customers. 75 dollars wasted!

It’s inexpensive and close to downtown Coeur d’Alene, which is convenient, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway or maybe at all. Our room was gross. There was sticky stuff on the nightstand and food under the bed when we arrived. The toilet leaked from its tank, leaving water at the base, and made noise every 30 minutes. The hair dryer didn’t work either. The shower soap dispenser looked questionable. There was clear liquid inside, but when I used it, a brown substance came out mixed with the clear liquid. I first thought that might just be the soap, but looking more closely, I think there was mold inside the dispenser head. We asked for extra towels and got them, but they hadn’t emptied the trash. They did clean up the sticky stuff and food under the bed, though the cleaning service seemed to do the bare minimum and wasn’t thorough. That lack of care is a huge issue for me. It was gross and made me question everything. I also mentioned no WiFi and a crappy TV, but those didn’t factor into my score. I don’t expect much from a cheap hotel, just quality when it comes to cleanliness. If all you need is somewhere to sleep, maybe it’s alright, but I don’t recommend it. I’d rather have stayed farther from downtown. We won’t be back.
