Edit: My friend rented a room for her birthday, and I came in to decorate. In less than ten minutes, we found wadded up dirty clothes in the bathtub, used underwear behind the door, a filthy floor, and a headboard stain that looked like bodily fluids. We immediately asked for our money back, but were refused. I’m from Coeur d'Alene, and we were just trying to make a friend’s birthday fun. The room was nasty. Stay away.

On my road trip from Seattle to the midwest, I stayed in the Flamingo and had a perfect visit. The owner/operator was kind and took time to hear about my travels. That conversation is a big part of why I feel so fondly about Coeur d'Alene. My room had one of those 25cent magic fingers bed vibration contraptions I’d seen in movies, so I couldn’t resist putting in a quarter. It wasn’t really my thing, but it was hilarious.

The location was great, and the room had cute decor and comfortable beds. I just couldn’t get past the strong musty smell, so I didn’t love it as much as I’d hoped.

Friendly management, a great location, and cozy, distinctive rooms, all on the first floor.

I’m in love with this place. The room was pristine, with quaint, cozy decor that was really well done. I hadn’t expected it to be so fabulous. The location in Coer D'alene is the best: shops and restaurants are just a minute’s walk away, but you’re outside the crowds and still right where you want to be. I’ll stay here every time I visit Coer D'alene.
