SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chattanooga North/Ooltewah

We were on the fourth floor and the room was comfortable, with friendly staff. Breakfast was the usual free hotel spread, but there was a nice variety. The nearby highway was convenient for us, though light sleepers might notice the noise. We’d recommend it and stay again.

The layout is what made the room easy to settle into. The bed, sofa, and workspace each had room, and the sliding privacy glass gives some separation if someone’s sleeping on the other side. There’s also a trundle bed under the sofa. The desk was well lit, with outlets close by, and there were plenty of outlets by the bed too. The lighting felt warm and modern. I did miss having a master switch by the bed, though, so I had to walk around turning off the lights. The curtains let a little light in around the edges, which isn’t ideal for me since I like a very dark room. It’s listed as a king studio, but the bed seemed a bit small, closer to a queen, though it could still be a king. The room has been quiet, and the temperature controls worked quickly and evenly. Everything seemed updated and in good condition, with no worn furniture or aging fixtures. The bathroom was more spacious than I expected, with bright but gentle lighting. I also liked that the shower drain is in the corner instead of the middle. It was very clean, as was the rest of the room. The counters, tables, and visible surfaces looked dust free and cared for. There’s a microwave and refrigerator, plus plenty of hangers in the closet. One toilet paper roll was almost used up, but the other was brand new. I prefer having a fresh roll for hygiene, even if that’s less environmentally friendly, and I notice when hotels leave used rolls behind. At check-in, the front desk offered me a complimentary bottle of water, and the TV was already on with a personalized welcome message. Those small touches made the arrival feel personal. This was my first stay at the SpringHill Suites Chattanooga/Ooltewah, and the room made a strong first impression.

The price was awesome, and the room was clean and spacious for our family of four. My parents and I had two beds, and my brother used the pull out couch. The beds were comfortable too. Breakfast was free and delicious, and the woman there kept the setup in order. When we went downstairs for bottled water and looked around the mini shop, the front desk woman spotted us and gave us complimentary waters and hostess cakes. This hotel was amazing on every level.

The staff were nice, and breakfast was pretty decent. What really stood out was how clean the place was. The room felt like walking into a five star hotel, and like somewhere you could easily have paid 3 to 4 times as much to stay. This was definitely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, and I’d choose it again.
