Motel 6 Albany Ny Airport

I paid $80 for a room and checked it before settling in. There were bedbugs by the headboard, candy wrappers, holes in the door, and the whole room was filthy. I went straight to the office moments after checking in to ask for my money back, but they refused. Don’t stay here unless you’re a trashy person. They deserve less than one star.

Our room was 225, with plenty of space, a working TV and AC, and a larger-than-usual bathroom with good water pressure. The parking was ample, though the hotel is on a busy street. The curtains wouldn’t close all the way, leaving anyone in the corridor able to see inside. The bed was firm and the sheets seemed clean. Each of the three pillows had a different feel, but one was yellow and clearly past its prime despite the crisp pillowcases. The floor felt a little sticky, probably from too much detergent. There was also a microwave and mini refrigerator, though we didn’t use them.

Room 128 was the most disgusting hotel room I’ve ever seen. The sink faucet wasn’t attached, and its control handle was broken off. The smoke detector was off the wall and sitting on the table, not working. There was also something splattered on the wall that ran down to the baseboard and floor. The sheets looked and smelled clean, which was the only positive. We only needed a few hours of rest before getting back on the road. I know Motel 6 can do better because we had a nice room at Motel6 in Wilkes-Barre Arena.

A quiet, basic motel just outside Albany. Everything worked as expected, and I’d stay again without hesitation.
