Courtyard by Marriott Colorado Springs South

UPDATE: Thanks for replying. I want to clarify that I never asked to move rooms. I understand the hotel was sold out. I showed the front desk guy a picture of the bed and told him it needed replacing. He got an attitude and rudely said he’d refund my money and I could leave. Nobody offered to re-clean the room, so that part of your statement is a lie. How are you going to re-clean that stain anyway? Does that mean it wasn’t cleaned in the first place? I’m sticking with my review: this place is nasty. Please do better. The hallways looked unvacuumed and were full of trash. My room wasn’t clean either, and the stains on the bed were gross. When I showed the front desk guy a picture and said it was probably time to replace the mattress, he told me, “I'll refund your money and you can leave.” That was pretty rude. I usually stay at Marriott and Hilton because they’re typically the best, but this place didn’t meet Marriott standards. I was a platinum member for almost 10 years, and I hope the staff treat guests better. I’ll never stay here again, and others shouldn’t either. Room 224, in case you get it. There also looked to be blood on the desktop, as shown in the second picture. The shower curtain was broken at 33 of the snaps that held it, so you couldn’t even close it.

The location is close to everything while still feeling quiet and secure. The interior, both the rooms and common areas, is excellent. As others have said, the place seems to have improved dramatically since its restoration. What really made the stay was the staff. Nathan was helpful and funny on our first phone calls, which helped us decide to stay here. Before we arrived, Miranda patiently answered more of our questions, and she was just as wonderful in person, with a sparkling personality. Priscilla kindly set aside an ADA room that fit our needs. Her grace and delightful humor charmed us. All three were wonderful. The Bistro surprised us with good food and ambiance. Michael deserves special praise too. He was short-staffed that day, handling the front desk while also covering as Bistro Host, and was a marvel of grace under pressure. We’ll stay here again on future trips to the Springs. Nathan made check-in quick and easy with a friendly, welcoming manner. His positive attitude and helpfulness set the tone for my stay, and that kind of service really made a difference. I had a fantastic time at the Colorado Springs Marriott Courtyard and highly recommend both the hotel and Nathan’s customer service.

Another great Marriott stay. Nathan managed the line of people checking in while still being hospitable. The room was clean and well put together, and the pull-out bed gave us great extra sleeping space.
