Home2 Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs South

We had plenty of room in the king suite for two adults and two little kids during our eight-night stay. The curtain that separated the sleeping areas was useful, and there were lots of drawers and cabinets. The room had a full refrigerator with dishes, cups, mugs, and silverware. The hotel was quiet even with all the small children and dogs around, and the front desk was friendly. Breakfast was below par but reliable, so we knew what we'd get each morning. The pool was open and clean, though a little cold. Outside space was limited: the fire pit only fit one family and usually had people smoking, with no other seating to enjoy the weather. The coffee was terrible and never warm in the afternoon. We'd stay again.

We slept really well in the comfortable beds. The studio was spacious, stylish, clean, and had a kitchenette. We didn't have time to try the pool, but it looked good, and we had waffles for breakfast. The front desk staff were professional and efficient. I'd love to return.

The manager at Home 2 Suites happened to be there, and that turned things around for us. I'd booked two nights with Hilton and requested only a walk-in shower, which I need, but was told there wasn't a room available that way. It was so upsetting because this was the third time it had happened during a four-day trip. The manager checked and arranged a room for us at his Home 2 Suites. We were treated wonderfully, got the room and shower I needed, and had delicious breakfast. They made the last two days of our stay great. My husband and I highly recommend them, ten stars from me. Thank you, Home 2 Suites.

The staff were very nice, and the hotel is brand new. I got hot quickly on the polyester sheets. Our shower clearly hadn't been cleaned with any products: it had black marks on the outside, orange-colored mold starting in a corner, and dark discoloration in the floor crevices that needed scrubbing. The bathroom floor had the same issue. It just needed cleaning agent.
